KW Habilitation is a local not-for-profit organization that provides a wide range of individualized services and supports to children with any special need and adults with developmental disabilities. We support individuals to live a fulfilling life which is fostered through preschool and early learning supports, respite services, residential services, community participation and employment supports. Volunteer/Student Placement Coordinator (FULL-TIME)
LOCATION: Kitchener, ON

KW Habilitation provides an inclusive, respectful, and fun filled work environment where our employees find joy at work along with a comparable compensation package The Volunteer and Student Placement Coordinator for recruiting, screening, selecting, training, and coordinating volunteers and for coordinating the development of policies and procedures relating to these activities. In addition, the Volunteer/Student Placement Coordinator will promote and facilitate student placements. The incumbent will ensure that services are provided within the mission, values and policies and procedures of the KW Habilitation, inclusive best practices and a family-centered approach.


  • A College diploma and/or University Degree in the Social Sciences
  • Education related to Early Childhood Education and/or Developmental Disabilities preferred
  • Volunteer Management Education (Certificate/Diploma) an asset
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEY and the Child and Family Services Act (CFSA), Province of Ontario
  • Two (2) years working with volunteers
  • Strong computer skills including demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong organizational, collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, be adaptable and flexible
  • Access to reliable vehicle

Schedule: 40 hours a week 9am-5pm (some flexibility required)
