KW Habilitation is a local not-for-profit organization that provides a wide range of individualized services and supports to children with any special need and adults with developmental disabilities. We support individuals to live a fulfilling life which is fostered through preschool and early learning supports, respite services, residential services, community participation and employment supports. Successful candidates will be energetic, person directed, highly motivated and organized. The goal of the position is to help adults with a developmental disability explore and learn what our community has to offer and to have fun discovering new activities of interest (such as sports, the arts and community events).

  • Organizing and implementing a summer schedule aimed at exploring social, recreational, and leisure activities across Southern Ontario
  • Providing a respectful and supportive atmosphere that encourages exploration
  • Promoting people’s skills and abilities
  • Providing opportunities and education for growth and development


  • Some post-secondary education in Human Services and six months of related experience (experience working / volunteering with people who have a developmental disability preferred)
  • Commitment to providing person-directed support, fostering independence, and advocating for others
  • Able to demonstrate creative problem-solving and decision-making, initiative, resilience, and collaboration
  • Candidates must be able to provide personal care, positive behavioural support, be energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated, flexible, organized, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • First-Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), and WHMIS training an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and basic computer skills required.


PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must be between 15-30 years of age, legally entitled to work in Canada and have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN). **Positions and dates are contingent on funding provided by Canada Summer Jobs.


Schedule: 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday with some flexibility (trips may involve evenings or weekends).
Start Date: Approx. June 19, 2023
End Date: August 31, 2023
Pay Rate: $21.09 / hour
