Youth Exploring Possibilities (YEP)

Youth Exploring Possibilities at KW Habilitation is open to young people in our community with developmental disabilities.

YEP Social*

YEP Social is open to Youth with developmental disabilities between the ages of 13 and 25.  Activities are held on weekday evenings, PD days, and other school closures (like March Break).  This is an opportunity for youth to stay connected with their peers – year round!  Events are planned with all ages in mind, and when required, smaller groups are created to consider bringing youth who are closer in age together.

We focus on Social activities like baking, exploring the community on the GRT, and other things based on suggestions from past participants.

If activity fees are preventing you from joining YEP Social, fee assistance may be available, please contact: the manager of Community & Employment Supports at KW Habilitation. 519-744-6307 ext. 1252.  Fee assistance for a limited time basis is made possible by funds donated from the former KW Association for Community Living

*YEP Social is funded by the United Way Waterloo Region Communities

YEP Summer*

YEP Summer is open to youth between the ages of 13 and 21 for 9 weeks in the months of July and August.  Activities are held weekdays and include community recreational activities, work readiness skills, fitness and much more.  YEP Summer is an active program and uses Grand River Transit to explore Waterloo Region.

*YEP Summer is contingent on annual funding

The Goals of Youth Exploring Possibilities includes:
