We know how important it is for parents and care givers to have regular breaks. Whether it be for self-care or opportunities, or to check things off a never-ending to-do list, a regular opportunity for your child to spend time outside the home is a key ingredient to success.
The Hab Zone
Our Children’s Respite program at KW Habilitation, the Hab Zone, supports children and youth with developmental disabilities up to the age of 18.
This recreational-based program helps families who need a break by providing support to their family member for a few hours on either Tuesday or Thursday evenings. The Hab Zone works directly with the child/youth to understand their interests and develops programming based on their individual needs.
To access The Hab Zone, a referral from Sunbeam Developmental Resource Centre is required.
